Do not waste your time with Virgin Media broadband if you are a Mac user. Their new hub is absolutely /useless/: it has a limited range and simply will not network effectively with Apple equipment (and if you do try to set up a network using airport, they won't give you tech support for it). Avoid Virgin Media like the plague. They have no interest whatsoever in meeting the needs of individual customers. If they lose a few hundred thousand here or there, it makes little difference to them, as they'll always be able to make money off some other poor sap than you.

I am a Mac user who has been using this service since it was TeleWest -- i.e. from the beginning. However, my connection has been running lately at between 0.2 and 0.8 Mb per second. Virgin reported no fault on their service so I wondered whether it was my Airport Express Wi-Fi that was faulty. Bought a new one. This will connect to the ISP but not to the Internet. Telephoned for help. Told, basically, that Macs are not supported. End of my relationship with Virgin.

Dreadful customer service (they knew less about networking than I did), half our equipment won't link to their system and they wanted us to sign a maintenance contract for £120 a year just to work out how to set up our printer wirelessly. It beggars belief really. We're very tempted to go back to BT as we're still in the cancellation period. I have told them this and they couldn't give a stuff. Avoid this company like the plague.

They have the worse customer service ever!!!
I change computer and was having problems connecting the new machine.
Phone virgin to way a appaling 25 min on the line until some one help me. I God, I wished she hadnt answer the phone. I belive my mum know how to trouble shoot better than that lady.
I patienly follow her instruction, untill the point where we got stuck. She 1st asked me to delete all my net works under my internet setting option, them she wanted me ti untick a box about dial up.
I said to her: my dear, you asked be to delete my net works which i did so automatic this option you want is disable. - She didnt get my ponit. and after a 30 min on the phone she gave up and said my i explorer was broken and i need to re installed it.
What a non sense!
I hang up, restart from scrach, and here I'm connected....
I wishe I'd never called them.
What a waste of time, money and patience!!!
After that i will look for another provider

Been with them 2 years and about to leave. Terrible customer service, patchy speed (broadband phoneline), and capping policy which automatically degrades to dialup speed if you inadvertently exceed their weekly cap (small print!), despite alledged unlimited download. Definitely not recommended.

Terrible customer service. Great when it works but it seems to break down a lot (Broadband and TV).
